Day One
On our first day of 3DD it was really exciting to work practically and trying to think of things in a diffent way. Firstly we had to start thinking of ordanry things such as numbers and fruits as bus stops and rabbit hutches. This made us think outside the box and think of things more as structures and less of what the first and organarly apire to be. After that exicess we then had to create a structure which could hold a water bottle from one sheet of A3 paper and masking tape only. I wanted to take inspiration from the serpentine gallerly with my structure.
Serpentine Gallery I decied to have striaght lines and wanted it to be all white with little decoration so that the structure was what is intresting about it. However due to it being made of paper, although I tried to make it strong by rolling them extreemly tightly, it fell apart as soon as the bottle was placed in it. I think this was also becaue the structure was not tight enough to each other. After this we had to create a larger structure which could support a person to sit down out of four sheets of carbord and tape only. I thought an effective way for this to work would be to slot the four sheet together so that the strenth from each of them would support each other. Inishally my chair was effetive to sit on as you can see in the picture. However after the challange of trying to build it in under and minuet and them sit it was unefective due to the legs not been straight. I think what would of made my structure more relyabe would be if the slots then all the way down instead of half way down

Great explanation of your work process'. You addressed many areas, such as inspiration, negatives and positives and alternatives within your work. Possibly discuss more about why you decided on certain structures and forms, to allow yourself to rethink your thought process' and potential designs.
